Most travellers use the big portals to book their hotel stay these days.
What they may not know is that these portals take between 20% and 50% commission for reservations made through their platforms.
Hotels with their own website are able to get book clients directly and thus avoid the commission that they would have to pay to the portal (many force them not to offer better prices on their website, but the savings are still significant, and hotels can often offer late checkin or other incentives to capture the client).
In this project, I have created a simple website, adapted to mobile and desktop, that presents the hotel's features, its location and surroundings in three languages. Instead of increasing the cost of development by including a reservation system, they opted for a simple reservation request form.
With each reservation captured directly, they calculate a saving of between €50 and €100. The small investment in a new website will pay for itself in a very short time.
